Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about service, replacement, scheduling and where we work.

Services

How often should my furnace and air conditioner be serviced?

Once a year for each is the general rule: air conditioning in spring and the furnace in fall. We offer maintenance plans with seasonal tune-ups.

Is it better to repair or replace an old furnace or AC unit?

If the system is 10 to 15 years old, needs frequent repairs, or can't keep up, replacement is worth pricing. We give free estimates and second opinions, so you can compare both options before you decide.

Is a heat pump a good fit for a home in this climate?

Often, yes. A heat pump heats and cools with one system, and it can work well in southwest Ohio winters. The right choice depends on your home and ductwork, so we evaluate the house before recommending anything.

Why is my AC running but not cooling the house?

Common causes are a dirty filter, a blocked or dirty outdoor unit, low refrigerant or a failing component. Check your filter first. If air is still warm, call us and we will diagnose it.

What can help with dust, allergies or humidity in my home?

Change filters every 1 to 3 months, keep ducts clean and sealed, and ventilate properly. An air purifier or dehumidifier added to your system can also help. We can look at your setup and suggest options.
